| Abstract | The increases in computational capacity and body-materials diversity have been enhancing the requirement for more accurate crash simulation. This cannot be achieved without materials-related state-of-the-art technologies such as testing methods to capture the high-speed deformation behavior and computational techniques to reproduce it. An overview of our comprehensive approach to the crash simulation for optimum combination of structure and material will be presented as the first part before three detailed lectures. |
