This is the first large motorcycle manufactured in Japan in response to a request from the Imperial Japanese Army. Approximately 1,500 units were manufactured with cooperation from the American manufacturer Harley-Davidson. This model cannot be found in public museums, because most were sold on the market, although some were collected by private collectors and can be found in small museums such as the Karuizawa Motorcycle Museum.
