The first application of diagonally piped dual circuit brakes in Japan. Even if one circuit failed, the system still maintained half the braking and operation performance before the failure, enabling collisions to be avoided. These brakes played an important role in improving vehicle safety.

Points of interest, topicality:Japan's first diagonally piped dual circuit brakes

Features:The diagonal piping had 2 circuits (one was for the right front and left rear wheel brakes, and the other was for the left front and right rear wheel brakes). Even if one circuit failed, the system still maintained half the braking and operation performance before the failure. Therefore, the stability and effectiveness of the steering was maintained, and it was possible to turn the steering wheel while braking to avoid collisions with obstacles.
