This suspension comprised an air spring combined with an auto leveling mechanism and adjustable damper mechanism. By electronically optimizing their control, ride quality, driving stability, and drivability on rough roads, etc. could be adjusted at a high level. Accordingly, the suspension function was dramatically improved.

Points of interest, topicality:The first electronically controlled vehicle height adjusting suspension in Japan
dot
Features:The suspension used air springs in place of metal springs, an auto leveling mechanism that kept the vehicle height constant regardless of the amount of laden weight, and a wheel stroke-sensitive adjustable damper mechanism. By electronically and optimally controlling these components, performance aspects such as ride quality, driving stability, and drivability on rough roads were successfully achieved at the same time at a high level.
