Registration fee 150,000 yen/team, or 50,000 yen/team if all the team members (including Faculty Advisor) are members of JSAE or members of member societies of FISITA.

Team members Students and a faculty advisor
Participant requirements
  • One team and one vehicle from one university is obligatory except when the university has several campuses and a team is formed at each campus.
  • Team members should be 18 years old or above, as a rule, and are restricted to the students of national colleges of technology, junior colleges, universities, graduate schools, or similar education/training organizations. Individuals who graduated within seven months prior to the competition date are also qualified. Registration of a team requires registration of all team members and one faculty advisor.
  • The faculty advisor must accompany the team throughout the competition period.
  • All teams are required to take out accident insurance for all team members (including cover for the driver while driving in the competition).
  • Drivers are required to be 18 years old or above, with a valid government-issued driver's license.
  • Team members must be a student of registrated University.
  • Vehicles that have already been presented in the past FSAE competition in Japan cannot be registered. At least a frame of the vehicle must be newly designed.

Safety requirements and compensation for loss or damage A safety level must be ensured based on the safety rules of Formula SAE SAE®. Sufficient safety training will be provided for the competition judges. The host is required to take out accident insurance for spectators and staff members.
